“COGITO ERGO SUM” Latin for I think therefore
I am. These three words sum me up. I was born in Delhi (India)
into a family of six. I m the eldest of four sisters. My
initial years of schooling were in Delhi after which I was
sent away to a Boarding. And within the confines of school’s
stone walled corridors and amphitheatre, I found my true
calling- Performing Arts!
And this was the spark that caused the conflagration: which
led to my active involvement in every possible extra curricular
activity in school and throughout college, be it singing,
dancing, leading the school band or theatre.
After attending three creative years in Miranda House pursuing
philosophy I embarked on my creative journey by joining
Danceworx & Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyalaya in Delhi which
led to the culmination of Channel V’s Popstar hunt
and formation of my band “AASMA”
The rest as they say is history, and the band is as of today
four years old and going strong.
These have been baby steps, and I have now decided to take
the plunge and set along yet another untreaded path, My
Dream – Solo Career. And I wish to be the proverbial
butterfly whose wings flutter will cause a typhoon half
way across the Globe!
